Yeimmy (she/hers) is passionate about folks having equitable access to resources in all aspects of life, including the right to vote and access to a quality education regardless of zip code. Yeimmy has helped her community by serving on education committees in her neighborhood and running for county committee in Brooklyn. She has also pushed for stronger policies to improve the quality of education for NYC students through multiple organizing campaigns. She continued to exercise her passion for education equity in her coaching where she challenged teachers, who work in high-need schools, to reimagine the traditional classrooms and lean on emotional resilience and dialogue in teaching. Yeimmy aspires to be a leader that fights for social, economic and racial justice in and out of the classroom.
