Luda Bryzzheva is a bilingual immigrant from Russia, a mother of three, a racial equity educator, an associate professor of bilingual and multicultural education and a dancer. She is a co-founder of Conversations on Race, a grass roots initiative to uncover and disrupt the damaging influence of whiteness at her predominantly white university. She promotes race consciousness at home and in professional and everyday public encounters. The ultimate goal of her racial equity work is the re-writing of the rules and policies that have traditionally benefited White people to reflect the racialized lived experiences and address various racial injustices.
