Position: Development and Communications Manager

Julia is experienced in supporting senior executives and board members and has a background in classroom teaching, professional development for educators, and educational publishing. Prior to joining CRJE, Julia was the Briefing Director at the New York State Department of Financial Services, reporting directly to the Superintendent. She has also served as the Administrative Coordinator for the Olga Lengyel Institute for Holocaust Studies and Human Rights, where she organized professional development seminars for educators in the U.S. and abroad. Her public service background includes two years of national service with AmeriCorps*NCCC and the Washington Reading Corps.

Julia holds a Master’s of Science in Education from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies from Wesleyan University. She is a native New Yorker from Queens and was part of the pioneering class of the TEAK Fellowship, an elite academic and personal enrichment program for gifted & highly motivated New York City public school students.
